Put in filters that didn't fit so had to use file, knives and lot of glue. Then a paintjob so it would look like it's been laying in the wasteland for 20 years.

what did you use to paint this? I have a mask that i use when working with resin etc that i would like to mod, but i have no idea what you use to paint rubber or plastic that will stand up.

I used water based emulsion paint as baseoat and acrylic paints. First I used a steelbrush, sandpaper and steelwool on the plastic parts to make the surface more rugged so the emulsion paint would stay on better. Then i used steelwool to rugged up the surface on the emelsion paint to make it mate. Then I drybrushed on the acrylic paints starting with the darkest and then the brigther paints on both the plastic and rubber parts. I finished it with sevral coats och vanish and then used steelwool tom make it less glossy.
